Edit File Plan Settings

Easy Taxonomy™ allows you to manage the following settings for each file plan:

  • Select the primary and secondary file plan languages

  • Enable/Disable the Records Management Details section

  • Enable/Disable the Microsoft 365 Retention Labels Management

  • Enable/Disable the Custom Attributes section

  • Enable/Disable the views management.


Follow the steps below to access the file plan settings page. Please note that the settings section is only available when the file plan is in Draft mode.


1. Navigate to the file plan.


2. Select Settings the file plan root menu.


3. The system displays the settings pane




4.  Update the settings as required. See table below.


5. Click Save.


Note that the changes take place immediately after save.


Parameter
Description
First Language
The first language is a required field. The first language is used to display the file plan and to capture the metadata required to save the file plan.
Second LanguageThe second language, once selected, its values become mandatory to submit the file plan for approval. When not selected, it is excluded everywhere in the system. 
Display Records Management Details
When this box is checked, the Record Details Management section is displayed and all fields become mandatory when submitting the filing plan.
Display Microsoft 365 Retention Label
When this box is checked, the Retention Label menu and all associated features are enabled.
Display Custom Attributes
When this box is checked, the Custom Attributes (English and French) menus and all associated features are enabled.
Enable Views ManagementWhen this box is checked, the Views Management menus and all associated features are enabled.
