Modified on Mon, 11 Nov at 11:13 AM

Taxonomy App allows you to develop M365 Retention Labels and associate them with the taxonomy. Retention labels can then be exported into an excel file and uploaded to the M365 Compliance Center under the Records Management / File Plan section.

Retention labels are used to implement retention and disposition process. Click the following URL to learn more about retention labels and retention policies in the M365 Compliance Center.

Taxonomy app displays the M365 Retention Label tab at the lowest level of the taxonomy. The taxonomy level is determined during the taxonomy creation. There are three possible levels that are supported by the Taxonomy App: Function level, Sub-function level, and Business-Process level.
