Work with audit trail

Easy Taxonomy™ captures a detailed audit trail of the different action performed by users on taxonomies. A search functionality is provided to enable searching and exporting search results into excel format files.  


1.  Navigate to the Easy Taxonomy Admin page and select the Audit Trail from the menu.


The Audit Trail section is displayed.


2.  Enter/select the required values in the fields to search for data.  Refer to the table below for field names and descriptions:


Fields

Description

Keyword

Keyword to filter the search results

Action

Filter by action performed on a taxonomy, see list of actions below.

User

Name of the user who performed the action.

Date From

Start date from when to search

Date To

End date until when to search


3.  Click Search.


All the audit trails of the taxonomy matching the search criteria are displayed.

  • Added Taxonomy Version
  • Restored Taxonomy Version
  • Submitted Taxonomy
  • Approved and published a Taxonomy
  • Archived Taxonomy
  • Deleted Taxonomy Version
  • Deleted Taxonomy
  • Added a Taxonomy item
  • Edited Properties
  • Added A Comment
  • Edited A Comment
  • Pushed To Term Store
  • Deleted Taxonomy item

  • Added a taxonomy via Import
  • Rejected and Sent to Draft
  • Unarchived Taxonomy
  • Unpublished Taxonomy
  • Deleted a comment
  • Created a View
  • Deleted a View
  • Updated a View
  • Added View Filter
  • Updated View Filter
  • Deleted View Filter
  • Added View Filter Value
  • Updated View Filter Value
  • Deleted View Filter Value


4.  Click Export to Excel.


The audit trail is downloaded as an excel file.


5.  Click the downloaded file.


The audit trail Excel spreadsheet is displayed.
