Custom Attributes are additional metadata that can be captured for any item at any level of the taxonomy. Custom Attributes can be imported with the taxonomy from an excel spreadsheet, please refer to this article for more details: Import a taxonomy from an Excel file.
When Custom Attributes are created, they can be used across all taxonomies.
Custom Attributes can be applied differently in the English Attributes tab and the French Attributes tab.

Create a new Custom Attribute
Follow the steps below to create a new Custom attribute:
1. To create a new Custom Attribute, select the taxonomy for which you Custom Attribute is to be added.
2. In the Item Action menu select Edit
3. In the Detail menu select English Attributes
4. In the first row drop list select Add New Attribute
5. Enter the English and French Title
6. Click Save
7. Enter the value to be assigned to the attribute
8. Click Save.
Remove a Custom Attribute Row
Removing a Custom Attribute row only removes the line and its value from the item.
To remove the row,
1. Select the taxonomy item from which the custom attribute row is to be removed.
2. Select Edit in the item menu.
3. Select English Attributes
4. Click the delete button for the row to be removed.
5. Click Yes to confirm the removal of the Custom Attribute.
Edit a Custom Attribute
A Custom Attribute can be edited, however, all instances where it is being used will be affected.
1. Select the Custom Attribute to be edit
2. Click the Edit button
3. In the details tab, edit the Custom attribute title
4. Click Save.
Delete a Custom Attribute
A Custom Attribute can be deleted, however, all instances where it is being used will also be deleted.
1. Select the Custom Attribute to be Deleted
2. Click the Edit button
3. in the details tab, click the Delete button
4. Select Confirm to delete the custom attributes and all its instances in the current taxonomy and all other taxonomies using this attribute.
