Modified on Sun, 5 Feb, 2023 at 8:39 PM

Editing the retention label in the Taxonomy app does not affect the Retention label that is implemented in the Compliance Center, you need to export the retention label from the taxonomy app and import it to the Compliance Center.

Note:  When a retention label is edited, it affects all taxonomy items where it is applied. If you want to edit the retention label for a specific taxonomy item, you need to copy the retention label for a specific taxonomy item and then edit the copy. For more details, refer to the Copy a Retention label for a taxonomy.

The following describes the steps to edit an existing retention label.
